करेगो को कारे ते ब्याहु



करेगो को कारे ते ब्याहु |
तुक मुख दर्पन देखू कन्हेया , प् छे दुलहिनी चाहू |
बनी बटमार ठगन नित वानितनी, बनत साहू को साहु |
निज अवगुण-गोपन हित झुठेहीं, सौ सौ सौगंध खाहु |
सिगार ब्रज के सखन सखिन ते, रार करत अघाहु |
कह 'कृपालु' कहूँ करी कुबरी, मिलिहहि जनि पचिताहु ||
भावार्थ - छोटे से ठाकुरजी को चिढाने के लिए सखियाँ कहती हैं - " अरे कन्हेया ! तुम बार-बार मईया से ब्याह करने को कहते हो किन्तु तुम सरीखे काले से कौन ब्याह करेगा ? जरा शीशे में मुहँ देख लो फिर दुल्हिन माँगो | मार्ग में डकईटों  की भाँति ब्रजांगनाओं के साथ ठगोरी करते हो और फिर बहुत ही भोले-भले बनकर अपने अवगुणों को छिपाने के लिए झूठमुठ  ही स्यिक्दों  सौगंध खाते हो | समस्त ब्रज के समस्त सखाओं एवं सखियों से झगडा करते हो, भला इसी करतूतों पर तुम से कौन ब्याह करेगा?" 'कृपालु' कहते हैं- 'अरे कन्हेया ! तुम निराश हो | संसार में कोई - कोई कलि कुबड़ी मिल ही जाएगी |'

Ho rasiya ! Kas surati bisari.
(A gopi during the descension period of Shri Krishna 5,000 years ago is lamenting and expressing her deep feelings of longing at being separated from Shri Krishna.) Oh, Rasiya! Oh Krishna! Why have You forgotten me?
Lok, ved, kul kani aani saba, taji aa-ee piya sharan tihari.
I have taken shelter at Your lotus feet, abandoning all worldly and family duties, as well as the duties prescribed in the Vedas.
Mag johat ankhiyan patharai, hari heri bipin banvari.
While looking for You my eyes have become like stones, and I have become exhausted searching for You in each and every forest and bower of Braj.
Tare ginat jaat saba yamini, palak ek yug sam lag bhari.
Oh my Beloved! I spend sleepless nights counting the stars and even one moment passes like an eternity.
Nirmohi! Kas mohin mohi ab, tadapavat bepir murari.
Oh hard-hearted Krishna! Why have You taken a vow to make me suffer so after stealing my heart?
Jiyan na det, let nahi pranahun, duhun bhanti ati vipati hamari.
My feelings are neither letting me live nor die.
Ab ‘Kripalu’ mo kahan taji madhav, kubari vari nij kar ur dhari.
In the words of this gopi, who, after Krishna left Braj for Mathura, is remembering His Braj leelas, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj says, “Krishna has forsaken me for Kubja whom He has graced with a place in His heart.”

Ham chakar kunja viharini ke.
We are the eternal servants of Kunja Viharini (Shri Radha).
Darat na dar rukmini vallabha aru, shri rukmini avatarini ke.
We are neither afraid of Shri Krishna, supreme God, nor of Rukmini, who is the descension of the supreme Goddess, Mahalakshmi.
Mukti char manuhar karat pai, jaun na dhing jag tarini ke.
The four types of mukti that liberate ignorant souls from the grip of mayic bondage are eagerly waiting in their personified forms to be accepted by us as servants, but we do not acknowledge them, even by accident.
Nitya vihar lakhaun gahavar van, saras raas-ras karini ke.
Instead, in the divine forest, Gahvaravana, we continuously enjoy watching Shri Radha shower the nectarean bliss of divine love in Her eternal pastimes.
Bali alamast nam gun gaun, sharanagat bhaya harini ke.
We remain ever-intoxicated in divine love bliss while singing the names and attributes of Shri Radha. She eternally dispels all the fears of the souls who are surrendered to Her.
Juthani khaun ‘Kripalu’ jaun bali, nit neelambar-dharini ke.
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji says, “I feel beside myself with joy while eating the prasad of Shri Radha, who is ever dressed in blue.”

Lakhatahin latu, bhatu hwai javati, deta muthi si mar.
Byahi anabhyahi sab hi sakhi, mohin braj ki nar.

Jit dekhun hi tiya talafati, kahi Ha! Pranadhar!

Bindhi ban hirani jyon van van, dhundhati Nandakumar.
Jab ‘Kripalu’ sab hi baurayin, ko kehi kahai gamar.

Sanvaro, jadugar sardar.
Commenting on the longing of the Gopis of Braj for their sweet reunion with beloved Krishna, Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj says, “Shri Krishna, whose complexion is like a rain-laden cloud, is the leader of all magicians!”
Lakhatahin latu, bhatu hwai javati, deta muthi si mar.
He wounds everyone with His divine love-filled glances, and whoever looks towards Him becomes fully encharmed by His unlimited beauty.
Byahi anabhyahi sab hi sakhi, mohin braj ki nar.
The hearts of all the Gopis of Braj, whoever they are and whatever is their situation, are captivated by His love.
Jit dekhun hi tiya talafati, kahi Ha! Pranadhar!
Everywhere in Braja, the Gopis are overwhelmed with the pain of being separated from Him and crying out, ‘Oh Pranadhar! (‘Oh Lord of my life!’)
Bindhi ban hirani jyon van van, dhundhati Nandakumar.
Like wounded does, piteously wandering from forest to forest in search of refuge, they are searching for their Beloved everywhere in Braj.
Jab ‘Kripalu’ sab hi baurayin, ko kehi kahai gamar.
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji says, “When all the Gopis are thus mad in the love of Shri Krishna, the supreme divine Beloved, who shall call whom mad?”

Ayo braj ras bechan varo.


Ayo braj ras bechan varo.
The seller of braj ras or the nectar of selfless divine love, Shri Krishna, has descended in Braj.
Jo ras nigamagamahun agam soi, det vanacharin kahan karo.
This same braj ras, which is unattainable even by the Vedas and other scriptures, is being given freely by Shri Krishna to the illiterate Gopis.
Jo braj ras hit shuk sanakadik, latan patan tan kari daro.
In order to attain this braj ras, even the greatest paramhansas and gyanis like Shuka, Sanaka and others have descended in Braj in the form of creepers, plants and trees.
So ras as jehi lagi Shiva-shankar, nar tey nari tanu dharo.
In order to attain this braj ras, Lord Shankar assumed the form of a Gopi.
So ras piyat soi jo vako, nij tan man pranan haro.
This braj ras can only be attained by the one who surrenders his body, mind and soul to Shri Krishna as its price.
So ras as ‘Kripalu’ chhin chhin badh, ras Vaikuntha lagat kharo.
Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj says, “The bliss of that divine love increases every moment, and it is so great that even the almighty bliss of God’s Vaikuntha abode seems dull in comparison.”
